My Favorite Flip Flops

I embellished my favorite flip flops. I love the Old Navy ones but not just the regular pastely, printed ones, those are ok. The one I really love are the Metallic ones that come in Black, Silver, Copper and Gold.  They are the most comfortable. They are very smoshie...I Love Them. Will I wear the regular ones but a girl has her preference.
My daughter in law inherited a bunch of beads and crystals and has allowed me to use them so I got 2 pairs of embellished flip flops for $5.49 and 1 hour of my time.  I do Love a bargin.

This is how I celebrate having completed my first every college course.
I had me a couple of Heinie Light's while I prepared dinner for the family. I love having y...oh  mean my husbands BeerTender.  No need to go to a bar...not that I ever went to a bar after work...It is nice have nice cold chrisp beer on tap available to me at my whim.

Dinner Al La Costco

So I went to Costco today to get chicken so I could make Chicken Picatta. Well to my surprise Famous Daves Restaurant was there doing the whole sample/demo thing.  Well they were selling their Barbeque sauce, marinade and rubs...woo hooo.  I love Famous Daves and so does my child.  Well they had 4 items for $6.99 That works out to $1.74 each...what a bargain and I do love me a bargain.
Well instead of Chicken Picatta we had Pulled Pork Sandwiches with Texas Pit BBQ sauce on butter toasted rolls with cheddar cheese. Yummy and the familythought so to. They loved it!!

And then Glenna and I had these Beautifully Large Stawberries for dessert.

Give Away!! It Was John Deere Green....

In honor of the start of the summer barbeque season, which I believe starts next weekend with the  Memorial Day Holiday, I have deceided to start having Weekly Give Aways. Since I have more fabric, vintage cookbooks and vintage craft books then I know what to do with I figure I will spread the wealth and give it away.
This is a do it yourself item.
1 panel to make an Apron and Mit set in a cute John Deer theme.
To enter please leave me a comment in this posting and I will announce the winner on Friday May 28, 2010 at 5:00pm

I Love Love the Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond.

I have to admit I ran across a website while looking up frosting recipes the other night. Wow she is a combination mom, wife, cook, photog, storyteller, sister...she is everything I believe I am(yeah right) but she has a website and it is cool. She lives out in the country on a working cattle ranch with 4 "punks" and the Marlboro Man, her beloved husband. If you  love to be inspired, check out her site here along with her cooking Taste Kitchen. I have never submitted a recipe to anywhere but tonight I did to the Tasty Kitchen. I also saved a bunch of here receipes to try like this yummy looking Chicken Piccata and these Yummy looking donuts
