Shoe!!!

What can I say...I ♥ Shoes.  I have been a fan of shoes since I first learned I had feet.  Just kidding!!!! I have really been into shoes since high school.  Really what it was is that my family was "poor" so I had my favorite shoes and I would do anything to keep wearing them...anything. That favorite pair was a white pair of flat loafers and I think I had them repaired at least a couple of time before I my next favorite pair of shoe...Boots. As my husband calls them " Elf Boots" What they really are Town and Country Leather ankle boots. Great quality as I still have them after 27 years.  They have been repaired so much that they have the sole sewn through the inside lining of the boot.  I will keep them forever!!!
How many of you wear more then 2 different pairs of shoes in one week?  I for one were different shoes everyday...never the same shoes 2 days in a row. Here are my shoes for the last 6 days....6days and 6 pairs of shoes...fancy that.  I do love me some shoes!!!!

What a Lucky Girl I Am

What a lucky girl I am to be married to what I believe is the most giving man in the universe... OK maybe not the universe but MY universe.  He has put up with me for 23 years without much complaint.  The has stood beside me through all my health problem and indulged me in my crazy career roller coaster.  He is understanding my need to educate myself so I can have a career that I love.  He encourages me to step out of my comfort zone and is always there to cheer me on.  I know sometime I get depressed and complain that he is has left me alone again at home but I know he is only working crazy hour for me. Without him I would not be able to work part time and go to school.  He is truly taking care of me. When he does complain about anything it is because be misses me and just like I miss him.  He loves my body, my mind and my soul as I do his. He protects my heart and would wrestle a bear to protect me.  Thank you fate for bringing us together.

I am officially an actress..

...well not really.  I auditioned for a play festival at our local college back in March and won a part as a supporting role in an original 1 act play. These plays were written by the play writing class at my local college.  They are then directed by the directing class students. A very good project for 3 lucky students.
They play I was cast in is called "Long Time Waiting" This is a short play but it was awesome to work on my role and act out the scene.  Well we got derailed.  Ended up that our director did not do what he was required to do for the directing class and we lost him as our director.  Well our play with turned into a reading....very disappointing. But the great part of doing this play as a reading is we can focus on the words as opposed to the actions.  We have performed for an audience 3 times and have 2 more show to go.

My Thoughts on This Mother's Day.

1997

Thoughts on Mothers day from a young Mom....well I'm not young now but I was a young Mom. I became a Mom 2 months after I turned 21.  I know some of you are saying "That's not young." and others are saying "Wow ..you were young". Well in the scheme of things
I was young but I was in love...and almost married.  I meet my husband in February 1988, NOT love at first sight but I was tricked into talking to him on the phone a week after I meet him at a "house party" in Canyon Country. I have this sly friend who lied to both of us. She thought "we would make a cute couple"...That was her excuse for tell each of us that the other one wanted each others phone numbers. Well we fell in love and 4 week later(yes 1 month) we were engaged.  Well this is not a story about just my husband and I (yes 22 years later and still hot for each other) but about the boy who made me a Mother. A young Mother and what I want to tell you is my
Top 10 Reason I Love Being A Young Mom"
10) Recovery: I had a great body that bounced right back after giving birth...6 week weight 121..Weight after giving birth 127. Loss of 19 lbs. in 18 hours.
9)Tatas: I was the first of my friends to have a baby so was not pressured into breast feeding.I still have great tata's.(If I knew what I know now I would have BF)
8) Energy: I had energy to deal with a 2 year old... ask me then and I didn't think I did but I really don't have the energy now to deal with a baby 24/7 now.
7) Companionship: You'll have a company. Being young and starting out my husband had to work a lot...I mean a lot.  I always had my son to keep me company.
6) A Co-Pilot: I commuted but had my son in a Preschool in the area where I worked. we had that extra 2 hours a day to be together. (I do not condone childcare now but I did what I had to do.)
5) Our Parents were Young Grandparents: My parents and Hubster's parents were young as well.  I was blessed with in laws who watched our son 2 days a week.
4) Music: I influenced his music as much as he influenced mine.
3) Activities: We are young enough to be able to take him skiing and dirt bike riding and be able to participate. .
2) Enjoyment: Able to see eye to eye with some one who is only 20 years younger.  I have had so much fun with my son.  He is funny, loving, compassionate, a great care taker, a good listener, silly, and real. He can tell me anything and know that I will love him regardless.
1) Grandparent-dom: As a young parents you can't help but having your child who follows in your foot steps(remember I've been married 22 years) My baby made me a Grammy at 42!! I love it. (and he was the same age I was when I had him)

This Is What I See

I had posted this photo on my Face Book page for about one hour.
I got a call from my sister saying " change that picture, you look like you have a black eye"
The teacher I work with saw it and said "you look awful in that picture"
When I see this picture I see what I look like to myself on the bad days. This is me 80 % of the time.  I feel like shit,I am in pain, I have to keep going...This is what Fibromyalgia looks like.
Exhausted, defeated, sad, worthless, confused, foggy, achy, defeated, stiff,
This is what Fibromyalgia makes you feel and think.  Never can you just have a normal day.
I forgot what a normal day is like. Either I am so tired that I can hardly function or I am so full of energy and in extreme pain that I can hardly stand the thought of my drive to work. Sitting is torture. Thinking is hard. I would not wish this my worst enemy. And the worst part is I dare not complain...I'll hear "you do to much". "Slow down". Not on your life. If I slow down and tomorrow or the next day I have a "Fibro Flair" and I am out of commission for months....NO WAY!! I will live everyday to the fullest until I am forced to stop.  Until then I will be who I am and do what I want.

My Dream Closet

Oh what it would be like to have this "Dream Closet".  I have a house that the master bedroom does not have a walk in closet:(.  My husband and and I have been crammed in a long double door closet for 8 years.  I do have a closet with jacket in the hall and a craft room closet but that is filled with my craft stuff.  My closet has is so packed. I even have 2 dresser(full) and no more room to hang anything. Ok I admit I have to many clothes but I have already gone through them twice this year and given them away.  So my goal for spring break was to get my Summer clothes out and put away my Winter stuff.....oh wait I have an idea.  With my son and daughter in law moving out a couple of months ago, that freed up a walk in closet in the spare room.  Oh I am a happy girl.
Being inspired by my sister in law that has a custom home with a closet the size of my kitchen, I decided to make my dream closet in 2 parts.  My everyday clothes and shoes in my bedroom(Part 1) and all my other stuff in the spare room(Part 2)
Part 1 with everyday clothes and shoes.
Part 2 with shoes, purses, sweatshirts, sweater, ect
All these are sweatshirts with the exception of 3 thin jackets on the end.

It is amazing how many sweat shirts one girl can have. 18 hoodies, 16 zippered hoodies and 7 matched sets(pants and zippered hoodies).  That is what was taken up so much space. Why do I have so many? I have wore everyone of them this Winter with the exception of the some of the sets. I think I have a hoody addiction. The collection includes 3 from the college I go to now, 1 from the college I will transfer to, an Army one, a Ford one, ratty ol' OU,  4 Aeropostal, Victoria Secret, at least 3 Fox, 2 Depeche Mode, many from places I have been, Pooh, Rainbow Bright, Disneyland...I do love me some SWEATSHIRTS!!!!!!
Love that I have organization now for all my pretties!
I organized my shoes, purses, totes and hats.  Sweater organizer went in Part 2 along with dressy clothes and winter tops. I feel like I really accomplished something.  I don't know how happy Charlie is because he said it was"Ok for now" BAH!! For now....we'll see.

Do It Yourself Feather Hair Extension

The latest salon trend is feather hair extensions.  They are going to be the thing to do this summer. You can go to a local salon to have this done but it will run you any where from  $15.00 and up for one feather extension(containing 1 feather)
Feathers are a a natural product and are very durable so you can wash, brush, blow dry and style them.  For those who flat iron or curl their hair , just use heat   350' F /180' C or less on feathers.  They should last 2-4 weeks at that point they should be changed.Remove before any other chemical hair services.  (To remove just crimp the link the other direction to open)

Do It Yourself:
What you need:
Feathers(Joanns/Michaels(about $3.00) or if your patient order on line) $Varies
Hair Extension Links/100 count(Sally Beauty Supply)$ 15.00
Scissors
Pliers
Wire(like floral wire)
Comb and clip.

1) Decide where you want feather.
2) Section and separate hair so you have a cluster of hair that is narrow at scalp.
3) Put link into hair and add feather.
4) Crimp the link flat.

Last Job of Spring Cleaning My Closet

I finally have done what I have been dreading for about 3 years...cleaning out my purse container.  I have a ton of purse that I have not used in ages...Handmade purses that it. Ones that I made and that is what makes it so hard.   I use to make purses and sell them with my sister. We went by the name"Twinsisters" and we sold on Ebay and Etsy.  I have not made a purse in over a year and I never us the ones I made back then , so it was time to free up some room on the floor of my closet.
I saved a few but 14 of them went onto Ebay.  I know....What else was I to do with them. I feel bad giving them to Goodwill or The Salvation Army.  I put a lot of time, effort and love into each of the purses. Now this rag tag bunch will hopefully find a home and someone who will take them out of the closet every once in a while.
If you want a closer look at these sweet little purses just click kraftaholik and you will be taken to my auctions on Ebay.
Thanks for stopping by,

I love accessories...especially love love love inexpensive ones.  The more accessories you have the more outfits you can put together.  I really loved to wear scarves this winter but now that the California weather has warmed up those scarves need to be put away.  Off to Forever21 I went for some new accessories.
